Bold Perseverance

Have you found yourself wavering over God’s promise in your life? Do you have a bold dream but you are afraid to take a risk? Have you already stepped out in faith, but things aren’t going according to plan and you feel like giving up?

Refuse to Ever Let Go of Your Dream

Bold perseverance holds on when everyone else gives up.

What do you want to accomplish in this life? What are the dreams that you think about.

Thomas Edison would never have invented the light bulb if he didn’t learn from his mistakes. Although he failed thousands of times, his failure propelled him towards success. What if this scientific man with a dream would have given up? He wouldn’t have the honor of changing the world through his invention.

Every Child-Like Heart Has a God-Sized Dream

Character

Every child-like heart has a God-sized dream.

As a child of God, we get to hold daddy-God’s hand as we discover the possibilities in front of us. There is no striving in our own strength. Bold perseverance is resting in the immovable strength of God.

Every child has super-powers: with capes waving in the wind they are super-man leaping over buildings or wonder woman with her lasso. Children dream God-sized dreams. It’s only adults that stifle dreams. Worn-out, discourage, exhausted, afraid, overwhelmed we quit.

No wonder Jesus lifted up a child as an example of faith. He called us to become like little children again.

My Favorite Question

If you had all of the money that you needed and knew that you wouldn’t fail, what would you do?

I like to ask this question because it gives the opportunity to dream again. Adults are concerned about money. We also hate to fail. So, we stop dreaming. Then, when we step out and try and things don’t go as we planned we are tempted to give up.

What if I told you that you can’t fail — if you don’t give up!

I’m not recommending that you twist facts around to try to paint an instagram-perfect-world. I’m talking about the big picture. The gigantic quest of following God requires bold perseverance.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23

Three simple yet profoundly difficult steps:

  1. Hold Fast
  2. Confess Your Hope
  3. Don’t Waver

He is the master-designer. If we follow his blueprint for life in the end it will form a beautiful masterpiece of His love and grace. The main point is this: HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL.
