As one of the Christian Women Speakers of today. Sue brings encouragement in her daily devotionals for women. Her “healing rain” brings daily refreshment.

Sue Detweiler is a wife, mother of six, author, and pastor with more than twenty-five years of experience in marriage, ministry, and education. She is also a popular speaker who shares her heart and wisdom internationally on issues related to marriage, family, women, prayer, leadership, and ministry. Sue’s first book, 9 Traits of a Life-Giving Mom, hit No. 1 on Amazon’s hot new releases for Christian women’s issues. Her newest book, 9 Traits of a Life-Giving Marriage, grew out of her and her husband’s heart to help couples grow closer to God and to each other. In their pastoral ministry to marriages, they have seen how sharing their own struggles helps to create a safe context for couples to be transparent and honest with their own issues. Wayne and Sue have also seen God’s transformative power heal and restore marriages through the marriage conferences and workshops they have led.

Sue responded to God’s call on her life out of heartfelt obedience to what the Bible commands. Sue and her husband Wayne began in ministry as youth pastors. They moved to Nashville in 1986 and planted and pastored Harmony Christian Fellowship for nine years. During this time, Sue received her Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt University. Sue and Wayne became a part of The Foursquare Church through their roles as associate pastors at New Song Christian Fellowship. Sue had the privilege of overseeing Life School of Ministry, a Bible training program which helps students develop their ministry gifts. She was also the principal at New Song Christian Academy, a homeschool program for kindergarten through eighth grade. Sue also partnered with her husband, Wayne, in marriage ministry.

  1. We are excited about the Healing Rain Radio feature being hosted on the Worship on the Way Radio Network. We are glad to partner with the KTLW team to be a “conduit of inspiration,” a “doorway for outreach,” and a “catalyst for change.” What a great radio network to be a part of! Thanks Gary Curtis and the team at Worship on the Way Radio.

  2. We just found out that SON Broadcasting in Albequerque, New Mexico is already using the Healing Rain Radio Feature on their station. Their program director said it was “refreshing.” Vickie Archiveque, said “Healing Rain is needed to be poured out on our desert land of New Mexico.”

  3. We are excited to add the Spirit FM Network with 9 stations in Missouri! We are excited about partnering with you to share the good news of Jesus Christ’s love and power.

  4. Hi Sue,
I enjoy your radio feature. Have you considered making your past programs available online for your listeners?
I would think many listeners would appreciate this since it is a common practice.

    1. Alan,
Thanks for the encouragement! Yes, at one point I was posting all of our radio programs on a daily blog on the website. However, it became a bit time consuming so we change our focus. What station do you listen to Alan?

        1. That is great Alan. The Healing Rain Radio Feature has been on KCBI for some time. I just had a chance to visit the radio station in Dallas last week and enjoyed time with the radio team.

  5. Sue, I am inspired by your words and vision for “Healing Rain”. Welcome to Texas. We need you here. I was just at the gathering of “Christian Women in Media” where Tom Beaher spoke. You will meet amazing women in media in Dallas. I love your warm spirit and wise words. The Best is yet to come! Your New Friend, Ruth Christman
