True Greatness is the opposite of fame and celebrity. Every one of us have been born for greatness. Greatness is summarized in Colossians 1:27 which says that the mystery is this: 📖 “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27 (NKJV).

Humility:

The pathway to true greatness is through humility. Humility is lowering oneself so that God can lift you. It can be defined as a conscious and deliberate choice to relinquish personal pride, status, or self-importance. It is an intentional act of surrender, allowing God to be the one who raises and establishes a person in His way and time.

Reflection 🤔:

Is it challenging to perceive yourself as someone born for greatness?
How does recognizing Christ in you become the essence of your hope for glory?

About God-Given Greatness 📝:

You are born to be great, woven together by God with a purpose.
Greatness is revealed as you live a life modeled after Christ’s humility and service. Understanding God’s call to greatness means laying down your life for others.
1. Christ-Centered Identity:
  • Greatness begins with recognizing that our identity is rooted in Christ. It’s about understanding that we are vessels for His glory, as Colossians 1:27 beautifully articulates, “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
2. Purposeful Design:
  • Each individual is born with a purpose. Greatness is unveiled as we align ourselves with God’s design for our lives, acknowledging that we are fearfully and wonderfully made for a specific reason (Psalm 139:14).
3. Humility and Service:
  • True greatness is not found in self-exaltation but in humility and service. It mirrors the life of Jesus, who, though being God, humbled Himself and served others sacrificially (Philippians 2:5-8).
4. Sacrificial Love:
  • Greatness is revealed in our capacity to love sacrificially, laying down our lives for others as Christ laid down His life for us. This sacrificial love reflects the heart of true greatness (John 15:13).
5. Transformational Impact:
  • Greatness isn’t about personal achievements but about making a positive impact on others and the world. It involves using our God-given gifts and talents to bring about transformation in the lives of those around us (Matthew 5:16).
